Looking for something to do in Charlotte, NC that is fun and a little more on the inexpensive side (FREE)? Check out the University of North Carolina at Charlotte Botanical Gardens where you can get a little fun while you are being educated.

It is a great place to take the kids for a short day trip - or even as a romantic afternoon escape. The outdoor gardens are open 7 days a week during daylight hours and the McMillan Greenhouse is open Monday - Saturday, 10 am – 3 pm and Sundays  1 pm - 4 pm.

Check everything out, call ahead if you must (number below) and if you haven't been there - you don't  know what you are missing!

The Botanical Gardens consist of the McMillan Greenhouse, Susie Harwood Garden, and the Van Landingham Glen – all located on the east side of the campus of UNC Charlotte.  The Botanical Gardens are open to the public, and admission for individuals is FREE.
